Lambert purchased the property in 1926 from F.H. Hocken. Lambert exchanged deeds with three parties -- the State of Oregon (1926), B.A. Krause (1928), and Percy Fay and Irene Anderson (1928). The State of Oregon foreclosed on the property during the Great Depression (1931). No historical information is known about Mr. Lambert other than he died in 1974 at the age of 83. Roy and Amelia Amundson purchased the house around 1935 on contract, eventually taking deed from the State of Oregon in 1950 when the contract was paid in full. The Amundsons raised two generations in this home. Roy died in 1990 and Amelia lived in the house until 1992 when health considerations forced her to sell the house. Roy was an Electrical Engineer with the railroad and also a pilot. He flew in and out of the Beaverton Airport, located where the Cedar Crossing Mall now stands. Michael and Shauna Moon purchased the house on December 21, 1992 on contract. The deed was transferred a number of years later and the contract paid in full. We purchased this house in 2005, being the 4th owners of this wonderful century old treasure. The Lambert House, as we gratefully surnamed it, is a very good example of the bungalow style, which was constructed late in that era. As was common to later bungalows, this house has a symmetrical façade. The house was built, according to county records "circa 1925", however one of the aerial photographs in our possession dated 1922 clearly shows the house standing on the property. ThePerimeter picket fence outlines the well-tended yard, which contributes to the historical streetscape of Franklin Avenue.
